Diggi Palace - A City Center Hidden Heritage Gem

Firstly, the heritage architecture was unbelievable! A throwback to another era where the facade & most embellishing decor elements have been well preserved. Secondly the lush gardens & flourishing bird life! Just WOW! From the pride of parading peacocks to the swooping green parrots, Scops owls, waders & miner birds, Diggi Palace is a nature sanctuary, a veritable haven. You’d never say that the chaos of the city is a mere 5 minutes away.. the environment, birdsong & peacock cries do much to absorb the traffic sounds as well as reduce the summer temperatures. Just shows what happens when we allow nature to thrive in an urban setting!

Exotically designed themed cottages with all creature comforts (including an air conditioner with heating and cooling), Great expanse of property, lots of trees, birds and the works. The staff were passionate about hospitality and service.

Few things can be improved like soap and shampoo is horrible. U really cannot use it. Please bring your own. I’m use to using hotel soap so expected better quality for the price they r charging. Make sure u get breakfast included deal. I accidentally may have clicked on pay breakfast at property not sure it’s included in price.

The rooms were clean, with beautiful interiors that gave a luxurious feel. There was hot water, and the electric heating device and oil heater kept the room warm adding extra comfort during the colder nights in January. Overall, it was a cozy, stylish, and pleasant stay!

The location of the Diggi Palace is 10/10. The staff is attentive, and the food is great too! There's enough privacy, and it's a joy to be in the city center yet amid nature with its exotic species of birds. Mr. John Wilson, the manager, is resourceful and helpful, which makes travelers feel at ease. We had the sheer luck to meet the owner, Mrs. Jyotika Ji, an extremely gracious lady. Thank you.
